The full moon this last week was intense! Did you feel it too? 🌕
And along with another wave of the pandemic and subsequent lockdown in my city Calgary, some days just feel heavier than others.
I know we all know that self-care is essential, but when a day is particularly hard it is the most important time to get back to basics and do what you can to raise your energy!
So, this week I thought I would keep it simple and share some quick ideas.
Gratitude: Try to focus on what you can be grateful for and what there is to appreciate in life.
Focus on self-care: A bad day can be made a lot worse by neglecting what you can do. Own your power and take care of yourself.
Find humor and have a laugh.
Get a hug from someone, a pet, or give a hug to yourself.
Remember that the contrast of life is there to show you what you want and don’t want in your life and when you know what you don’t want, you have a much clearer picture of what you do.
Focus on how you want to feel: instead of dwelling on external circumstances, empower yourself by shaping your internal environment with positive thoughts of how your choose to feel.
Focus on what you can do differently to lighten your energy and bring more serenity into your day.
Get into nature and enjoy some fresh air.
Stretch and move your body.
Consciously relax: it is so difficult to think of solutions when feeling tense and stressed. So intend to relax and watch how much more clearly you can think and respond.
Remember that this too shall pass and to keep taking care of your wonderful self!
