Do more of what makes you love you

Do more of what makes you love you <3

Some of us were taught that self-care and self-love make us self-indulgent or narcissistic. Let me assure you, there is a big difference between authentically and honestly taking care of yourself and your needs versus doing something for yourself that is damaging to yourself or others.
But limiting beliefs are tricky that way and will work against you just to keep you “safe” and in your comfort zone. No matter how uncomfortable or unhealthy.
Because at the end of the day as with any relationship, including the one with yourself, it is the actions we take or don’t take that demonstrate your ability to love and be loved.
When you show yourself what you deserve, you will find it reflected back to you in a myriad of ways. As within, so without; the way people treat you is a reflection of how you treat yourself. If you’re the last person on your list, I can assure you that it will feel like you’re not on top of anyone else’s. And yes, I know this one can be difficult to accept, but this definitely includes the thoughts you think about yourself as well.
The truth is that when you do the things that create positive feelings toward yourself, you build confidence, trust, and expand your intuition. You become less reliant on approval and validation from others and you naturally build momentum in your life that brings inner fulfillment and as a result, has a positive impact on those around you.
And it really is natural, even if it feels awkward at first, because like anything new or unfamiliar it takes practice.
So I invite you to give yourself the gift of doing more of what brings up those positive feelings within yourself. And begin to notice how it feels when you:
✨Keep promises to yourself.
✨Intentionally do something that brings a smile to your face.
✨Focus on what brings you peace, fulfillment, and joy.
✨Make a healthy meal and enjoy it mindfully.
✨Stand up for yourself assertively.
✨Say no to something or someone that you know will drain your energy.
✨Take a break.
✨Speak positively about yourself.
✨And anything else that brings you joy.
Wishing you a wonderful long weekend. Take care and show yourself some love.
