Sleep can be one of the most magnificent ways to rest and destress or one of the biggest stressors in your life.
If you would like a more restful night, there are some obvious things that may help and there are more subtle things like mindset and habits to consider.
– Perhaps it’s time for a new pillow or a new mattress.
– What is the temperature in your room? Are you hot or cold?
– What is your time leading up to bed like? Are you de-stressing and relaxing from your day?
– Do you unplug from your phone and computer at least an hour before bed?
Consistency and routine matters in creating the melatonin you need to sleep well. Just as much as expectation of great sleep is important.
Try asking yourself “What if I had a great sleep tonight? And just let the energy of that question expand your consciousness and create possibilities.
– My favorite way to fall asleep is to listen to binaural beats or a guided meditation.
– Lavender is proven to have relaxation properties.
– Have a shower or bath and visualize washing any stress away.
– If prayer is a part of your life, ask for a good sleep and healing dreams.
